Blondes takes Interbreed Championship at Antrim Show

It was a Classic day for the Ivanisky team at Antrim Show on Saturday with their Senior Heifer Classic Missy Belle sweeping all before her. Missy Belle took the Senior heifer class, female Championship, Overall Blonde Championship and Overall Interbreed Beef Champion of Champions. Brian McGartland of the Drunmafern Herd Dungannon was judging the Blondes and Missy Belle really caught the eye. His male Champion and Reserve Champion was Drumraymond Nimbo, a June '17 son of Ashtonlodge Tyson . Moneyscalp Nancy a Glenvale Harry daughter took the junior Heifer class. Felltop Joyce takes second Supreme championship at the Welsh Show

Junior cow Felltop Joyce lifted the Supreme Championship at the Royal Welsh show having lifted the Championship trophy at the Royal Highland show in June. Joyce owned by Thor Atkinson from Cumbria, bred by John Stott also from Cumbria was born May’14 sired by Ark Diego out of Felltop Candy. Joyce started by winning the Junior cow class before being tapped up as Female Champion and then onto Overall Breed Champion under the eye of judge Dessie Green who runs the Scaughmolin herd in Co.Wexford. Intermediate Bull Doncombe Mulungu bred and exhibited by David and Sue Knight from Bristol took reserve Male Champion at the show before taking the reserve Championship. Everingham Blondes took Blonde championship at the Great Yorkshire show, bred and exhiited by Neil and Jess Barrett rom Everingham,York . Everingham Judy born October '14 sired by Budore Donald picked up the silverware for both champion female as well as overall champion Blonde. Judge David Knight from the Doncombe herd from Bristol described her as “Superb class”.
