British Blonde Cattle Class Results
Judge: Mr Rob Coney, Kelso
Lifting the top title in the Blonde classes at this years Balmoral Show was the Overall Male and Breed Champion Nigransha Paddy Power won by the McElroy family. Paddy Power is their senior stock sire who is a son of Baltra Iceman and is bred out of Ivaniskey Hilda.
Taking the Female Champion ticket and Reserve Breed Championship rosette was the Rodgers family with their cow and calf outfit. Hillhead Olivia, a daughter of Allacot Herbert and out of a homebred cow Gillian. She was shown with her bull at foot Hillhead TNT.
Winning the respective reserve championship awards was Gerard McClelland with Bridge Obama securing the Reserve Male Championship. The Reserve Female Championship rosette and the Overall Junior prize was presented to Hillhead Trecale a yearling heifer from the Rodgers Livestock team.
The Reserve Junior Championship went to Ivaniskey Trojan from Messrs McElroy & Son. This young bull is a sired by Paddy Power and is out of their homebred cow Ivaniskey Denise.
