Christmas Comes Early, As Blondes Break Records At Skipton, Selling At £4.857

Christmas certainly came early, for three year old James Moorhouse, when his Blonde heifer topped the market at £4.857 at Skipton Christmas show and sale last week.

The heifer was shown by his mother Hayley Baines of Lower Middop Farm, Gisburn, and was bred by North Craven Mother and son Janet and James Huck. After being awarded Champion female the heifer went on to be crowned the Supreme Champion of the Show.

Weighing in at 600kg, she was purchased by D&S White Butchers, Marple, Stockport for an impressive £8.10 per kilo, making this a new Christmas Show and Sale record at Skipton.

Some Breeds Promote It... Blondes Do It.
