CLUB NEWS

Our AGM was held on 19 th December, 2007 at Lanark Market, our new Chairman is Billy Laird, Vice Chairman is George Hamilton and Secretary Sheena Kennedy, our committee are: Neil Sutherland, Jim Frame, Tom Hop, John Hope and Allan Walker. The picture above is Billy Laird on behalf of john Owen presenting a trophy to Alan Walker who won the highest placed Scottish Member exhibiting at the Royal Highland Show 2007. the club would like to thank JT & C Owen, Easterton Livestock Feeds for sponsoring this new competition for 2007.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

The Scottish club are holding a National Stock Judging weekend on 24 th – 26 th July, 2009 details be available via the Blonde Society newsletter or just contact any of the committee for any information. We wish everyone good luck for the forthcoming pedigree sale on 11 th May at Carlisle. The Blonde Society are attending the Beef Expo at Perth on 21 st May 2008, and would like to welcome everyone along, there will be cattle on display and George Hamilton has kindly agreed to exhibit two of his cross cattle and we will be holding a Guess the weight competition. The Perth Bull Sales held in February were successful for blonde vendors and hopefully we can continually expand these numbers and promote the breed in Scotland.
