Winter 2009 NEWSLETTER

Dear Members,

Congratulations to Roy Kinnish who won the Blonde pedigree championship at the English Winter Fair held recently at Bingley Hall. Also to Vicki Hicks who was placed 1st in the National Young Farmers carcass judging that was also held at the English Winter Fair.

Grateful Thanks are extended to Roy and Chris Kinnish for hosting an open day for the Midland Club in August with visitors joining us from the South West and Welsh Clubs.

Dates for your Diary

. Wednesday 16th December 2009 - Interbreed Quiz at the Meriden Sports and Social Club starting at 7.30pm. Teams already entered are Charolais, Simmentals and Blonde - more will be made most welcome.

. Monday 25th January 2010, Midland Club AGM starting at 7.30pm to be held at the Belper Arms, Main Street, Newton Buroland, Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 2SE(The oldest pub in Leicestershire). Meal available.Everyone welcome.

.Saturday 27th February 2010 Annual Dinner Dance at the Bromsgrove Hilton Hote. Tickets available price £30 each. Three course meal with salmon starter, Roast Pork main course and Apple tart desert. After dinner speaker - Mr Paul Gentry auctioneer from Newark Livestock Market. Followed by a disco until the small hours. Contact Linda Sewell for more details.

 

Derek would like to thank everyone for their help with the club activities during out 21st year and would like to take the opportunity of wishing all members and friends of the Midland Club a very happyy Christmas and a prosperous new year. Cheers!!
